Job Description


  • A Purchase Engineer in electrical control panel manufacturing is responsible for procuring the necessary materials and components for panel production, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. This role involves vendor management, price negotiation, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
  • Key Responsibilities

    :
  • Sourcing and Evaluation:
  • Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying vendors for electrical components, control panels, cables, motors, and other relevant items.
  • Technical Expertise:

  • Possessing strong technical knowledge of electrical components and systems used in control panels.
  • Negotiation:

  • Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain quality.
  • Procurement Process Management:

  • Managing the entire procurement process, including creating purchase orders, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Quality Assurance:

  • Ensuring that all purchased materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Collaborating with production and stores to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent shortages.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities, including quotations, purchase orders, and supplier information.
  • Compliance:

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaboration:

  • Working closely with engineering, production, planning, and other departments to understand their material requirements.
  • Market Research:

  • Conducting market research to stay informed about new technologies, products, and pricing trends.
  • Relationship Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Cost Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyzing costs, preparing reports, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.

    Solid understanding of electrical components, control systems, and relevant industry standards.
