Purchase Assistant

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process of the company. Your responsibilities will include verifying purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and clarity in requested items, and providing recommendations for alternatives when necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing inventory, preparing purchase orders, and obtaining approval from the requisitioning department. You will be tasked with communicating with suppliers, monitoring orders, and expediting deliveries to ensure timely receipt of purchased items. It will be essential to maintain accurate records of all transactions, resolve any discrepancies in shipments, and keep documents organized and easily accessible. In this role, you will also be required to analyze purchasing data and trends to provide valuable insights for planning and control purposes. Staying updated on industry trends, establishing long-term relationships with vendors, and reviewing purchasing agreements will be key aspects of your job. Maintaining strong relationships with vendors, measuring supply inventory, and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual figures will be part of your daily activities. You will need to compare product deliveries with purchase orders, address any discrepancies with vendors promptly, and ensure smooth operations in the procurement process.
