Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Assist the Purchase Manager in identifying reliable suppliers and evaluating quotations for mechanical and engineering components.
Prepare and process purchase orders, inquiries, and follow-ups with vendors.
Maintain updated records of suppliers, pricing, delivery terms, and product specifications.
Coordinate with Stores, Production, and Maintenance teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
Track order status and ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
Support vendor evaluation, performance monitoring, and maintenance of approved vendor lists.
Assist in negotiating rates, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Verify purchase invoices against orders and delivery notes for accuracy.
Prepare periodic procurement reports (e.g., pending orders, cost analysis, supplier performance).
Follow up on material inspection, rejection, and replacement processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
