Project Manager, GBPS

As a Project Manager for Grinding, Bulk, Pyro, and Smelting (GBPS) Proposals and Project Management at Metso, your primary responsibility will be managing a portfolio of Engineered to Order (ETO) Projects following Metso processes and tools. Your role will be crucial in enhancing operational efficiency through the execution of Principal Company Model (PCM) projects globally, contributing to the business's long-term profitability. This position is based in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, with global reporting to the Sr. Manager Project Management. In this role, you will lead upgrade and modernization initiatives, ensuring projects are adequately resourced, aligned with client expectations, and compliant with contractual obligations. You will take ownership of project leadership and execution, focusing on safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals. Implementing robust scope and change management processes will be essential to control deviations and maintain deliverable alignment. Your responsibilities will also include conducting post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement, providing customer engagement to address requirements promptly, supporting projects during the warranty phase, and collaborating cross-functionally with internal departments for seamless project execution. To excel in this role, you should be a seasoned project management professional with a technical background and a passion for delivering high-impact results. Your qualifications should include a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 13+ years of experience in managing complex equipment delivery projects, preferably in the mining or mineral processing industries. Familiarity with mining and mineral processing technologies, especially Bulk Handling systems, is advantageous. Strong project management skills, proficiency in systems like SAP and MS Project, excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to collaborate and lead effectively are also essential.
