This Project/Program Manager role is an inward-facing role for the India teams.

  • Work closely with the India Managing Director on overall India Centre activities, including (but not limited to) tracking product deliverables, innovation, team activities, external eminence, university and industry connections, and brand building.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for India leadership, India cross-functional teams, and external vendors/clients, as applicable.
  • Facilitate India executive steering committees and ensure continuous alignment with strategic priorities as they are published by worldwide (WW) leadership.
  • Deliver clear, consistent, and transparent communication throughout the product development lifecycle and for all India team deliverables.
  • India engineering managers have a mandate to focus on and develop their own hands-on technical contributions. This PM role will be instrumental in enabling managers to offload nontechnical/operational tasks so they can spend more time on technical work.
  • A uniform, worldwide set of metrics, agile practices, and development processes will be defined and evolved by the CTO s office. This PM will be responsible for understanding these WW processes and helping the India team align to them, ensuring there is no siloing, duplication, or deviation.
  • Work with India engineering managers/leaders to develop comprehensive project/product roadmaps by defining key milestones, deliverables, and success criteria for each India engineering initiative.
  • Collaborate with India engineering leaders to accurately estimate resources, budgets, and timelines for all phases of project execution.
  • Proactively track project/product performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, budget variance, and quality benchmarks in line with WW processes.
  • Analyze changes in project requirements and scope, and implement change-management strategies to minimize disruption and maximize outcomes.

Digital Transformation Leadership

  • Champion digital initiatives, including automation, AI/ML, smart operations, and modernization.
  • Drive adoption of best-in-class digital solutions across departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Leadership and Team Coordination

  • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for each member of the project team, ensuring accountability and optimal performance.
  • Foster a results-driven culture and inspire engineering teams to meet ambitious goals.
  • Resolve conflicts within project teams fairly and promptly, mitigating risks to performance or timelines.
  • Facilitate team-building activities and retrospectives to strengthen collaboration and continuously improve workflows.
  • Provide coaching and professional development to engineers and team members to optimize individual contributions.
  • Coordinate and support administrative requirements for team events.

Reporting and Stakeholder Management

  • Work with India managers to ensure teams understand and align with the WW-defined comprehensive project dashboard, providing real-time visibility to the India MD, India Directors, and stakeholders at all levels of the India organization.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations summarizing critical metrics, program highlights, challenges, and actionable recommendations.
  • Engage stakeholders during all stages of the project lifecycle to incorporate input and manage expectations effectively.
  • Partner with external vendors, contractors, and consultants as necessary, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and timelines.
  • Address and resolve stakeholder escalations promptly while maintaining alignment with program goals and constraints.
  • Ensure that project documentation is up to date and accurate.

Risk and Issue Management

  • Establish and oversee a robust risk-mitigation framework to identify, assess, and address potential challenges early. Oversee India site-level risks, including non-engineering deliverables.
  • Prioritize and manage issues during the development cycle by coordinating with engineering and operations teams to implement rapid resolutions.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses for recurring risks and implement preventive measures to safeguard delivery.
    Qualifications
  • 5 to 10 years of experience compulsory in software industry
  • Experience in Product development organization is preferred
  • Deep understanding of how Enterprise class software gets delivered is a must f
