The Program Manager has personal responsibility for the coaching and career development of direct reports, takes responsibility for eliminating career impediments, and actively evolving the systems in which all knowledge workers operate.
What you will do:
Participate in platform resource management process to establish the best assignment of individuals to teams
Ensure employees receive annual evaluations, one-one-one meetings and overall training and development needs are met
Lead the interview team and efforts and initiates hiring decisions for all positions
Provide leadership and guidance for the employees on the team. Act as a mentor and trainer as needed.
Help establish mission and purpose for the teams under supervision
Build functional and technical competencies that enhance the development capabilities of the team and that align to the objectives of the team
Continuously assists in aligning teams to the business and program mission
Coach the improvement of agile technical practices. Six Agile Software Engineering Practices for Achieving High Quality Code – agile architecture, continuous integration, test-first, refactoring, pair work and collective ownership
Provide the active coaching they need to advance technical, functional and team skills
Oversees the work of subcontractors and consultants operating within the domain of influence
Works with Product Management , Product Owners , Scrum Master, and technical Business Owners to help assure strategy and execution alignment
Assists RTE and SSM (Senior Scrum Master) with release planning readiness, release planning activities and removal of impediments as needed.
Ensure production stability, functional and technical delivery from your respective teams
Remove impediments, collaborate and coordinate with other teams on Train or Platform.
What we need from you:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience.
A Minimum of 5 years IT project management experience.
Experience as a software development practitioner with prior hands on experience in one or more technical disciplines
Excellent knowledge of micro service architecture, loaders, APIs, Apigee gateway, LIferay technology
Must have good working knowledge with end client experience and mobile applications
Strong understanding of SAFe, agile principals
Desire to work collaboratively with the all Agile teams and their stakeholders
Possess a high level of technical savvy
Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of the Sprints/PSI’s
Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills
