Production System Simulation Engineer

As an Engineer at Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL), your main role will involve simulating and analyzing production systems to support strategic planning and operational improvements in semiconductor manufacturing. You will be responsible for modeling end-to-end production systems, simulating scenarios for capacity planning, analyzing system behavior under constraints, and integrating the simulation system with ERP/MES systems. Your insights will be crucial for production planning, and you will collaborate with IT and operations teams while maintaining simulation models for continuous improvement. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficiency of production processes. Key Responsibilities: - Simulate and analyze production systems for strategic planning and operational improvements - Model end-to-end production systems, simulate scenarios for capacity planning, and analyze system behavior under constraints - Integrate simulation system with ERP/MES systems - Deliver insights for production planning, collaborate with IT and operations teams, and maintain simulation models for continuous improvement - Collaborate with cross-functional teams Qualifications Required: - 3-5 years of experience in discrete and continuous simulation tools for OSAT or semi-fab plants, production planning and scheduling algorithms, KPI tracking, and dashboarding - Knowledge of digital twin platforms, simulation platforms, IoT platforms, system integration, data analytics, data visualization, and project management tools - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong communication and documentation skills - B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Equivalent - Know-how of AI-based production process simulation and optimization preferred Additional Details: Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group specializing in manufacturing precision components.
