You will work closely with Product team including product owners, product managers, UX professionals, and product leaders, to understand the corporate goals, product vision, and customer needs. Armed with an understanding of this business context, you will be responsible for translating business and product requirements into clear, detailed user stories. You will deliver a refined and prioritized backlog of work that ensures products are released on time and fully adopted by the business / customer. You will work closely with Content, Legal, and Design to ensure each product release meets the standards of these functional stakeholders.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Prioritise and execute the platform strategy, ensuring a unified and scalable approach.
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, Platform Services and Cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain foundational APIs that support critical business functions.
- Implementing platform foundational services that follow outlined governance and best practices, including security, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify redundant or fragmented business capabilities and drive standardization.
- Own the product roadmap for core platform services, ensuring alignment with engineering and business objectives.
- Develop clear requirements documentation, usage guidelines, and adoption strategies to ensure cross-team consistency and efficiency.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize platform improvements, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience- required
Work Experience
- 5 years experience in product roles with focus on platform, infrastructure and API-driven solutions.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong technical background - you can discuss architecture, databases, cloud infrastructure, APIs/SDK, and dev workflows with confidence.
- Strong understanding of design, microservices architecture, and API lifecycle management.
- Proven track record of shipping technically complex products at scale and ability to translate technical challenges into platform solutions.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product development lifecycle.
- Ability to make data-driven product decisions and manage competing priorities.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS).
- Familiarity with security, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, working across engineering, security, compliance, and business teams.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, AppDynamics, Sentry) is a plus.
- Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway) is a plus.
- Technical background or hands-on experience with software development, DevOps, or infrastructure is highly preferred.
