Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Procurement Operations and Excellence Manager to establish, standardize, and optimize our end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency, automation, cost savings, and data-driven decision-making across procurement. As the subject matter expert in P2P, you will be leading cross-functional projects with up to 20 stakeholders. You will be responsible for process governance, procurement analytics, supplier performance management, and digital transformation. You will collaborate with Finance, GBS, IT, and suppliers to ensure seamless procurement operations while leveraging market insights, spend analytics, and automation tools to enhance performance.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Establish, standardize and optimize global P2P processes including purchasing, ordering, receipting and invoicing.

Improve touchless P2P through OCR, AI matching, and ERP integrations.

Develop and enforce procurement policies (including payment policies) to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Build and manage procurement analytics frameworks to provide actionable insights into spend patterns, supplier performance, and market trends.

Develop and maintain analytical dashboards for tracking procurement KPIs and metrics including cost, cash, savings and supplier performance.

Identify cost-saving opportunities through should-cost models, price forecasting, and market trends.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address performance gaps and implement corrective actions.

Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent reporting to stakeholders across the organization.

Analyze external market data to inform procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, and risk mitigation plans.

Manage consolidation of procurement inputs related to inflation update.

Be responsible for master data governance (material master, payment terms, etc.).

Inventory Management and Optimization (VMI, MOQ, safety stock, lead time reduction).

Drive improvement in existing tools and technologies.

Provide market insights, best practices, and training to procurement teams for all P2P related activities.

Stakeholder Management and Key Interfaces:

Collaborate with Legal, Finance, IT and GBS to streamline processes.

Manage SLA and continuously improve the GBS relationship and service levels for all P2P related activities.

Engage externally with suppliers to improve invoicing, drive performance tracking, and collaboration.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement operations, with expertise in P2P, procurement analytics, and digital transformation.

Proficiency in procurement software (SAP Ariba, Coupa), analytics tools (Power BI, SAP Analytics, Excel including Power Query, Macros & VBA, should-cost modelling), and ERP systems.

Strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and statistical interpretation to provide actionable insights.

Proven track record in process automation (RPA, AI-driven invoice matching).

Understanding of market dynamics and their implications on procurement strategies

Excellent ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to various stakeholders.

Stakeholder management skills.

Ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Training and stakeholder alignment.

The ability to adapt to evolving processes, system updates, and changing business requirements is essential. The candidate should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

You possess strong academic record, with minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance (MBA preferred), or Information Technology.

Certifications related to procurement, contract management, or Ariba/SAP are particularly valuable. Examples include:

Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)

Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Ariba Certified Professional

SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Ariba Procurement
