Job Description

Role Overview: As a Procurement Manager specializing in Agri Commodities, your primary role will involve sourcing organic agri-commodities, ensuring quality compliance, and managing vendor relationships. You will be responsible for building a reliable supply chain, monitoring market prices, and maintaining strong connections with farmers and suppliers. Your expertise in organic certifications, lab testing, and cost optimization will be crucial in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and onboard reliable suppliers, FPOs, and processors for organic staples, honey, and cow ghee. - Build a sustainable supply chain for organic agri-commodities across different states, ensuring traceability from farm to warehouse. - Monitor crop patterns, seasonal trends, and market prices to develop price forecasting models. - Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, vendors, and cooperatives through field visits and regular communication. - Ensure suppliers comply with organic certifications such as NPOP, USDA Organic, Jaivik Bharat, and Apeda. - Implement quality assurance measures for raw materials, including testing for pesticide residues, heavy metals, and microbiological safety. - Collaborate with product and R&D teams to align procurement with new product innovations. - Lead price negotiations, manage procurement budgets, and maintain detailed records of purchases and compliance reports. Qualification Required: - Deep understanding of organic agri-commodity value chains and food safety certifications. - Knowledge of crop cycles, harvest calendars, and price dynamics. - Familiarity with lab testing equipment and parameters. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently in a field-intensive role and coordinate with teams effectively. Preferred Qualifications: - B. Tech in Agriculture, Food Technology, or Agribusiness Management. - Experience in sourcing for FMCG or organic food companies. - Exposure to organic certification standards. Note: This job is a full-time, permanent role based in Anand, Gujarat, providing food and health insurance benefits. The position requires a Master's degree and significant experience in the FMCG and organic food industry. The work location will be in person, necessitating strong leadership and coordination abilities to excel in this role.,
