Print Designer 3D

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain various types of 3D printers, including FDM, SLA, SLS, and other technologies.
• Prepare CAD designs and optimize 3D models for printing by troubleshooting and adjusting design files.
• Select appropriate materials for different projects, ensuring they meet specifications for durability, flexibility, and aesthetic needs.
• Monitor the 3D printing process to ensure print quality and prevent issues such as warping, misprints, or jams.
• Perform regular maintenance on 3D printers, ensuring they remain in good working condition.
• Assist in the development and testing of prototypes and models for engineering, product development, or customer orders.
• Collaborate with the design, engineering, and R&D teams to troubleshoot and solve problems during the design and printing process.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed when operating equipment and handling materials.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
• Provide recommendations on improving printing processes, efficiency, and quality control.
• Manage and track inventory of materials, including filaments, resins, and replacement parts.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Experience:

  1+ years of experience working with 3D printing technologies in a professional environment.
• Strong familiarity with 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Blender, Fusion 360).
• Solid understanding of various 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, etc.) and materials (PLA, ABS, resin, etc.).
• Experience with post-processing techniques, including sanding, cleaning, painting, and assembling printed parts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
