The Purpose of This Role

This role, as part of the WI QA group, will be critical in supporting development of our capabilities relative to automation including: supporting execution of our Web Services automation  road map working with team members to develop infrastructure and tools required across multiple technology stacks, working within guidelines and offering suggestions relative to governance procedures and overall development standards.

This role is to support Data Engineering & Exchange group within Workplace Solutions Business Unit, focused on building and maintaining the Enterprise Data environments like Operational Data Store, Warehouse and Data Lake which are essential for business reporting and analytics capability. Our technology teams interact regularly with Business Analysts, Architects, Data Modelers, Scrum Master and other engineers from various teams across the globe to deliver the solutions which will delight our customers.

The Value You Deliver

This is both a hands on role where you need to engage in developing test automation solutions in latest technologies, lead the automation code reviews and coding standards for newer projects as well as lead a team comprising of SDETs across all the WI QA portfolios. You will work closely with Architects , Dev and Business stakeholders  forming future QA blue prints of all our applications and also mentoring the QA teams in adapting latest technologies .

• Designing automation framework best suited for a set of applications
• Translating business and systems requirements into technical requirements for automation
• Designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining automated tests
• Adhering to software engineering principals in development of automation
• Understanding and applying test driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities developed by self and others.
• Delivering accurate and maintainable code for automation and software utilities.
• Collaborating with other technical resources to:
• Suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
• Design and develop automation and software tools.
• Understand requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform.

The primary objective of the Workplace Solutions team is to enable the WI business in the US, while working with IT business partners in the US in a well-integrated way. WI comprises five business lines - Defined Contributions, Defined Benefits, Stock Plan Services and Health Care Group and Health Savings Account. Over the past 10 years the WS team has developed technical expertise on various functions within each

business line of Workplace investments, across strategic new products and within data engineering.

The Expertise Were Looking For

• 10+ years of Quality Engineering experience
• Bachelors/masters degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or other related field.
• Good knowledge in

  API testing and Batch process

• Very strong in

  databases testing

  and

  SQL skills

  and hands-on experience is

  building complex SQL queries

• Good programming skills on

  Java/Python

• Data analysis, identifying data patterns, data flows and trends.
• Develop and maintain

  automated testing frameworks

  for API (Rest Assured/Karate), Mainframe, Batch Jobs, Informatica
• Collaborate with data engineers and data analyst to understand data requirement and ensure quality throughout the data life cycle.
• Define and execute test plans
• Identify and prioritize critical data quality issues in the system.
• Document and communicate the identified defects to relevant stakeholders.
• Utilize various tools and technologies to
