Job Title: Principal Engineer– ASP.Net Core & Azure

Location: Kolkata
Experience Required: 12–16 years
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead with extensive experience in ASP.Net Core, Azure, SQL Server, and DevOps. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, architecting, and delivering large-scale enterprise applications. You will be responsible not only for hands-on development but also for providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and driving architectural decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, architecture, and development of enterprise-grade applications using ASP.Net Core (MVC with C#) and Web API.
Architect and oversee background services/console applications (e.g., scheduled jobs, batch processing, large data handling).
Define and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure components (App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, etc.).
Design, optimize, and manage SQL Server databases with a focus on performance and scalability.
Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring streamlined build, test, and deployment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to development teams.
Perform code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
Troubleshoot, debug, and lead resolution of complex production issues.
Drive continuous improvement in architecture, security, automation, and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

12–16 years of strong IT experience with at least 8+ years in ASP.Net Core, ASP.Net MVC (C#), and Web API development.
Expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions with Azure services.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server (data modeling, optimization, stored procedures, indexing).
Proven experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
Solid background in building and managing background services/console applications.
In-depth knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor developers, and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
