Principal Engineer – Full Stack

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Design and own

  cloud-native architectures

  that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Lead technical direction across

  Node.js

  ,

  NestJS

  ,

  Next.js

  , and related frameworks.
• Ensure uptime of ≥99.9%, optimal latency per SLO, and achieve ≥10% infrastructure cost optimization.
• Define and enforce coding standards, technical best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

2. AI & Agentic Workflow Integration

• Architect and implement

  AI-driven systems

  (LLM-based, agentic workflows, telephony automation).
• Develop production-ready AI integrations leveraging

  OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source LLMs

  .
• Use AI to automate ≥20% of manual processes or create new business opportunities.
• Measure and report on AI ROI — adoption, performance accuracy, and cost per inference.

3. Full-Stack Product Delivery

• Lead rapid MVP development using

  Node.js, Nest TRPC, Next.js

  , and related technologies.
• Balance speed with stability, ensuring product releases meet agreed timelines (±10%).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Business) to deliver end-to-end solutions.

4. System Monitoring & DevOps

• Implement robust monitoring systems using

  Grafana

  Open Telemetry

  , and related observability tools.
• Oversee deployment pipelines, scaling strategies, and performance optimization across

  AWS

  environments.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis with a focus on prevention and recurrence rate <5%.

5. Departmental & People Leadership

• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on ownership and accountability.
• Set clear growth paths, improve PR cycle time, and elevate code quality metrics.
• Collaborate with leadership to align technical goals with organizational OKRs.

6. Executive & Stakeholder Communication

• Represent engineering in business discussions and client engagements.
• Communicate complex technical decisions to non-technical executives clearly and persuasively.
• Partner with the CEO to translate business objectives into scalable technical strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience:

  6+ years in full-stack or backend engineering, including leadership or architecture roles.

• Tech Stack:

  Node.js, NestJS, Next.js, AWS, DevOps pipelines, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.

• AI Expertise:

  Experience integrating LLMs and generative AI workflows into production systems.

• Preferred:

  Prior experience in startups or scaling SaaS platforms; familiarity with TRPC and microservices architecture.
