Principal Associate, Data Science

As a Principal Associate at Capital One, your role involves driving the foray into autonomous and intelligent data products to meet the business and analytical needs. You will collaborate with DataLabs leadership and lines of businesses in the Financial Services division to understand contemporary business needs and develop impactful offers. Your responsibilities will include: - Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and provide strategic recommendations through business, statistical, and data analysis - Product: Conceptualize and develop world-class data products leveraging Machine Learning on structured and unstructured data - Execution: Develop frameworks, hypotheses, tests, and analysis, leading implementation efforts, and creating a monitoring plan - Partnership: Collaborate closely with business leaders across Capital One To excel in this role, you should possess: - Strategic & analytic orientation with a proven track record of data-driven decision-making - Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity - Excellent communication skills with strategic influencing abilities - Results orientation with a focus on achieving short and long-term goals - Successful track record in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering) - Minimum 4 years of experience in data analytics Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree in Business or quantitative field - 3+ years of experience in Statistical model building, SQL querying, Python, Scala, or R - 3+ years of experience with machine learning Capital One does not sponsor employment authorization for this position.
