PLSQL Developer

Role & responsibilities

As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Oracle database systems and objects. Your core tasks will include:

1. Writing efficient code using SQL and PL/SQL (Procedures, Packages, Triggers, Analytical Functions).
2. Analyzing system requirements and prioritizing development tasks.
3. Writing clean, testable code adhering to coding standards.
4. Developing technical specifications and architectural documentation.
5. Testing and debugging applications and scripts.
6. Reviewing and refactoring code for optimization and maintainability.
7. Deploying fully functional and performance-optimized applications.
8. Upgrading and enhancing existing Oracle programs and systems.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3 to 8 years of proven experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
• Strong expertise in

  Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

  , including:
• Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Analytical Functions.
  
• Proficient in

  Database Design

  :
• Creating and managing schema objects: Tables, Indexes, Sequences, Synonyms, Views, etc.
• Good understanding of data dictionaries and metadata management.
  
• SQL Expertise:
• Skilled in DDL, DML, DCL, TCL commands.
• Writing complex queries involving joins, subqueries, set operators, grouping, and filtering.
• Familiar with numeric, character, date/time, and conversion functions.
  
• PL/SQL Expertise:
  
• Familiar with PL/SQL datatypes, control structures, cursors, exception handling.
• Use of Oracle-supplied packages and best practices.
  
• Experience working with tools like

  Toad

  or

  PL/SQL Developer

  , including environment setup and configuration.
