About the Role

Playwright Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using

  Playwright

  for web applications.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define test strategies and ensure full test coverage.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable test frameworks and scripts.
• Execute automated test runs as part of CI/CD pipelines and analyze results for quick feedback.
• Identify, document, and track defects, and perform root-cause analysis for failures.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, tools, and test processes.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform testing coverage.
• Stay updated with the latest automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Requirements

• 35 years of total experience in software testing/automation.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in

  Playwright

  (TypeScript/JavaScript-based automation).
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and best practices.
• Proficient in creating, executing, and maintaining automated UI and API test cases.
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Good knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Good to Have

• Experience with other automation tools like

  Selenium

  ,

  Cypress

  , or

  TestCafe

  .
• Familiarity with

  API testing

  tools such as

  Postman

  or

  REST Assured

  .
• Experience working in

  Agile/Scrum

  environments.
• Knowledge of

Education
