Job Description

Job Summary:

Platform Reliability Engineer (PRE)

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain reliable and scalable platform infrastructure using best practices in automation and monitoring.
Own and improve CI/CD pipelines to support fast, safe, and repeatable deployments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure the platform meets performance, reliability, and availability SLAs/SLOs.
Drive observability by implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
Implement and enforce platform security best practices and compliance controls.
Participate in incident response and postmortem processes, improving system resilience through root cause analysis and engineering solutions.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
Exposure to zero-downtime deployment strategies and blue-green or canary deployments.
Knowledge of GitOps practices and tools (e.g., Flux, ArgoCD).
Understanding of SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD, Google Professional DevOps Engineer.
