Plant Head

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and performance-driven Plant Head from the machine manufacturing industry to lead end-to-end operations of our manufacturing facility. The role demands strong technical acumen in machine assembly, fabrication, machining, and testing, along with leadership skills to drive productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage entire plant operations including Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch.
• Oversee manufacturing of heavy industrial machines, components, and assemblies as per project requirements.
• Ensure efficient fabrication, machining, fitting, and assembly processes for machine manufacturing.
• Drive production planning and resource allocation to meet delivery schedules and cost targets.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, tolerances, and machine performance parameters.
• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, and Project teams for smooth execution of manufacturing plans.
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance for plant and machinery to minimize downtime.
• Control manpower deployment, motivate teams, and foster a safe and disciplined work environment.
• Prepare and present MIS and productivity reports to management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 15–20 years in machine manufacturing, preferably in
• Rolling mill machinery,
• Heavy engineering equipment,
• CNC / VMC / SPM manufacturing, or
• Industrial machinery / OEM sector.
• Minimum 5 years in a Plant Head / Manufacturing Head / Operations Head role.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, machining, assembly, testing, and quality control.
• Exposure to CNC/VMC/HMC machining, jigs & fixtures, and precision assembly preferred.
