About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with strong experience in custom plugin development, WooCommerce customization, and backend development using Laravel and PHP REST APIs. The ideal candidate should be comfortable building scalable, secure, and optimized WordPress websites. Experience with other CMS platforms such as Shopify will be considered a valuable advantage. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, customize, and maintain WordPress plugins and themes. Build responsive, high-performance WordPress websites. Integrate APIs, third-party services, and custom functionalities. Customize and extend WooCommerce for e-commerce projects. Develop and maintain backend solutions using Laravel and PHP-based REST APIs. Optimize website performance, speed, and SEO best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across WordPress projects. Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Ensure security best practices and scalability in all builds. Required Skills & Experience2–5 years of hands-on WordPress development experience. Strong expertise in custom plugin development (not just plugin customization). Proven experience with WooCommerce customization (themes, plugins, checkout flows, payment gateways). Strong backend development skills with Laravel and PHP REST API design/integration. Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Experience with WordPress hooks, filters, WP-CLI, and custom post types. Familiarity with REST APIs and headless WordPress setups. Strong understanding of website optimization, caching, and debugging. Version control knowledge (Git). Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables. Good to have exposure to Shopify theme or app development.
