PHP Lead software engineer

PHP, TypeScript and a little bit of Go

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex challenges in a backend-focused environment, leveraging modern technologies and ensuring seamless data connectivity at scale.

In This Role, You Will:

• Design and implement scalable, robust, and flexible integration solutions tailored to business needs.
• Work with Kubernetes, database optimization, and AWS cloud-native technologies to evolve our architecture.
• Modernize our PHP-based and Golang stack and ensure smooth interaction between legacy and modern components.
• Collaborate with your Scrum team to scope, estimate, implement, and test new features and fixes.
• Deliver features, improvements, and fixes with a predictable and timely cadence.
• Be the technical lead on projects with 3-4 other engineers. Lead initiatives, and facilitate engagement with other stakeholders.
• Mentor other engineers on best practices, architectural patterns, and technologies.
• Contribute to platform stability and performance improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and attention to detail while fostering a positive team environment.

Primary Skills

• Expertise in backend development using Java.
• 8+ years of development experience with a strong focus on scalable and maintainable solutions
• Proven experience designing and managing systems that move and synchronize data across platforms at scale
• Experience optimizing databases and query performance in high-traffic or data-intensive applications
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to prototype solutions quickly when needed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in distributed or fully remote teams.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in backend development using languages like

  PHP, TypeScript/Node

• Develop, maintain, and optimize integrations with external systems like Salesforce, Marketo, and HubSpot.
• Experience working with AWS technologies and infrastructure as code (e.g. Cloud Development Kit, Terraform etc.)
• Experience presenting technical ideas, solutions, or approaches to other team members.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, and experience collaborating across the stack when needed.
• Knowledge of database optimization techniques and performance tuning for large datasets.
• Passion for learning and adopting new technologies.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for managing containerized workloads.
