Job Overview

PHP & WordPress Developer

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize
WordPress websites
using
custom themes and plugins
.
Write
clean, secure, and efficient PHP & MySQL code
.
Manage website performance, hosting, and updates through
cPanel or equivalent platforms
.
Integrate and customize
third-party APIs
,
payment gateways
, and
RESTful services
.
Customize existing plugins or create new ones based on project requirements.
Ensure
responsive, cross-browser-compatible, and SEO-optimized
front-end output.
Monitor site performance, uptime, and speed; implement optimization techniques.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues promptly.
Maintain proper
documentation
for code, processes, and configurations.
Collaborate with designers, content teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality, timely results.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science
,
Information Technology
, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in
PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
.
Proven experience with
WordPress theme and plugin development
.
Solid understanding of
WordPress hooks, filters, custom post types
, and
shortcodes
.
Familiarity with
Git
&
SVN
or other version control systems.
Experience working with
RESTful APIs
and
AJAX
.
Knowledge of
cPanel
,
hosting environments
, and
website performance optimization
.
Good understanding of
security best practices
in PHP and WordPress.
Ability to manage multiple small projects independently with minimal supervision.
