Pentaho ETL Developer

As a Pentaho ETL Developer in Sydney/ Melbourne/ Brisbane, your role involves designing, developing, automating, monitoring, and maintaining ETL jobs, batches, processes, and metadata associated with data transfer. Here are the key responsibilities: - Troubleshoot data issues, recommend, test, and implement solutions - Develop and document technical requirements and solutions - Participate in design and code reviews - Engage in project planning and deliver to commitments - Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure complete delivery of solutions - Assist with configuration of application software Qualifications required for this role include: - Demonstrated delivery experience using Pentaho ETL tools and techniques - Experience in software development - Excellent programming skills in Java (Groovy), JavaScript, SQL, PL/pgSQL, and PL/SQL - Recent delivery experience with Open Source ETL tool Pentaho Kettle - Expert SQL and database tuning skills for multiple platforms (PostgreSQL, Oracle) is a plus - Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra) is a plus - Demonstrated experience with Kimball ETL architecture techniques - Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and related data integration tools - Familiarity with Revision Control (Subversion, etc.) - Excellent communication, analytical, and development skills Additional qualifications preferred for this role include: - 5 years working with a data warehouse responsible for ETL processing - Understanding of data warehouse and master data management approaches - Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally - Work effectively with teams utilizing a customer-centered approach - Manage changing priorities within a fast-paced dynamic environment This job offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the real estate information systems industry.,
