PCB Hardware Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead and client and design partner / Consultant interface for all hardware design projects.
• Translate customer requirements into detailed hardware architecture and schematic designs.
• Develop and review schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs ensuring optimal component selection and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead IoT/EV/Telecom/5G hardware design projects from concept through prototype to production.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and production teams for system-level integration.
• Validate designs through simulation, lab testing, and field trials.
• Conduct design reviews (DFM/DFT/EMI-EMC/thermal) and guide the PCB layout team.
• Coordinate with clients for technical discussions, updates, and feedback closure.
• Support certification and compliance (CE, FCC, EMI/EMC) testing and documentation.
• Evaluate new technologies and components relevant to EV BMS, IoT gateways, 5G modems, and Telecom infrastructure.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and customer presentations.

Preferred candidate profile

• IoT hardware (MCUs, sensors, wireless modules WiFi, BLE, LoRa, NB-IoT).
• EV systems (BMS, power conversion, motor control, charging interface).
• 5G & Telecom systems (RF front-end, high-speed interfaces, signal integrity).
• Strong debugging and validation skills using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
• Sound knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance, grounding, and power integrity.
• Excellent client coordination, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and guide junior engineers.
• Strong expertise in schematic capture and circuit design (digital, analog, and power).
• Experience with ARM, STM32, ESP32, or TI processors.
• Familiarity with LTE/5G modules (Quectel, SimCom, Sierra Wireless).
• Exposure to EV protocols (CAN, Modbus, ISO 15118).
• Hands-on experience with IoT cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT).
• Knowledge of thermal and mechanical design integration.
• Excellent command of Altium , Cadence , Mentor tools for schematic ,PCB design and simulation.
