Payroll Accountant

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, organizational policies, and audit standards while maintaining accurate salary calculations, including earnings, deductions, loans, bonuses, and incentives. It will be your duty to validate attendance, leaves, and overtime data with the HRMS before processing and handle final settlements and exit formalities in coordination with HR. Your role will also involve calculating and remitting statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and LWF on time, as well as preparing and filing monthly/quarterly/annual returns (PF, ESI, TDS) for statutory compliance. In addition, you will be tasked with reconciliation and reporting responsibilities, including maintaining registers, preparing variance reports, headcount reports, and coordinating with the finance team for bank disbursements and ledger reconciliations. You will support audit requirements by providing timely documentation and clarifications, as well as providing employee support by processing reimbursements and educating employees on components of the salary structure and tax-saving instruments if applicable. Key Requirements: - Prior experience in accounting is advantageous. - Strong knowledge of statutory compliance.
