Title: Operations Manager – NBFC

Job Location : Chennai

Job Summary:


The Operations Manager in an NBFC is responsible for managing, optimizing, and overseeing the day-to-day business operations and processes. This includes ensuring the efficient execution of financial products and services, maintaining operational efficiency, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of financial services.


Key Responsibilities:


Operations Management:

  • Oversee the entire operational process, ensuring smooth functioning of loan disbursements, collections, and customer service.
  • Implement efficient and effective operational strategies to enhance business performance and profitability.
  • Monitor and optimize the end-to-end loan life cycle process, from origination to disbursement and collection.


Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and better resource management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Introduce best practices and technological innovations to improve operations.


Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all operations comply with NBFC regulations and guidelines set by governing bodies such as RBI.
  • Monitor internal controls and policies to minimize risk exposure.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to financial and operational regulations.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing operational concerns and improving service quality.
  • Work closely to resolve any issues faced by customers related to operations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in an NBFC or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, services, and operations in the NBFC sector.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Proficient in MS Office and financial software; experience with operations management software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within the NBFC industry.
