Role & responsibilities

JD For Service now:

Deep technical knowledge, hands-on experience in development and configuration, and strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions. Responsible for end-to-end technical delivery, including designing, developing, configuring, and supporting various modules within the ServiceNow platform. This includes ITSM, ITOM, scripting, integration development, and administration tasks to ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders and customers to understand and translate business and technical requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions.
  • Own the full lifecycle of technical delivery, including solution design, development, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Design and maintain catalog items, record producers, variable sets, and workflows.
  • Develop and configure tables, applications, forms, lists, and email notifications within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Build and maintain client-side and server-side scripts, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
  • Create and manage SLA definitions, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and role-based security models.
  • Manage user and group administration, including permissions and role-based access controls.
  • Perform update set migrations across development, test, and production environments.
  • Configure and maintain MID Servers for integrations and discovery tasks.
  • Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, JDBC, MID Server, IntegrationHub Flow Designer, and other integration mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues, and provide ongoing technical support and platform maintenance.Participate in ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and platform enhancement activities.
  • Ensure the platform's performance, health, and stability by following best practices.Maintain detailed technical documentation for customizations, configurations, and integrations.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow features, capabilities, and best practices, especially in ITSM and ITOM modules.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 715 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript) including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and Workflow scripting.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, JDBC, LDAP, OAuth, and SAML.
  • Solid understanding of data formats (JSON, XML) and authentication protocols. Experience with update set migration, platform upgrades, and instance cloning.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices. Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
