Offensive Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in penetration testing of

  web applications, networks, APIs, and mobile applications

  under senior guidance.
• Perform

  basic vulnerability assessments

  using standard tools and document findings.
• Support red team and purple team exercises by simulating attack scenarios in supervised environments.
• Stay updated on

  latest cyber threats, OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and security trends

  .
• Prepare

  basic security reports

  with screenshots, observations, and initial remediation suggestions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement security best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong interest in

  cybersecurity and penetration testing

  .
• Basic knowledge of

  networking concepts

  (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Familiarity with

  Linux commands

  and Windows basics.
• Understanding of

  common security issues

  (SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.).
• Exposure to penetration testing tools such as

  Nmap, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Wireshark

  .
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Willingness to work in a

  fast-paced and challenging environment

  .

Qualifications

• Education: B.E/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science / IT / Cybersecurity.

• Experience:

  01 year (Internship or project experience in cybersecurity is a plus).

Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred):

• OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) Mandatory

• CEH (EC-Council), eJPT (INE), CompTIA Security+ – Preferred, not mandatory
