About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with solid experience in Node.js and related frameworks to join our engineering team. You ll be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable APIs, backend systems, and integrations that power our products. The ideal candidate has experience owning modules or end-to-end product features and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js, Express.js, NestJS.

Build and optimize RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.

Integrate third-party APIs and external systems seamlessly.

Work with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL to design efficient schemas and write optimized queries.

Implement asynchronous processing and message queues using technologies like AWS SQS, or RabbitMQ.

Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality features.

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.

Deploy, monitor, and maintain backend services on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).

Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.

Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of backend systems.

Requirements

2 5 years of professional experience as a backend developer.

Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, NestJS frameworks.

Solid understanding of databases MongoDB, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL.

Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).

Experience working with message queues (SQS,, or RabbitMQ).

Good understanding of API design, authentication/authorization, and microservice architecture.

Proven experience in developing and deploying a product or feature end-to-end.

Familiarity with version control (Git) and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to Have

Experience with Next.js (for full-stack or server-side rendering experience).

Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

Familiarity with TypeScript and writing strongly typed code.

Exposure to Serverless architectures.

Knowledge of monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, etc.).

Understanding of unit and integration testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.).
