NodeJS Developer

The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 6+ years of backend development experience, particularly in distributed/microservices environments. A strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js is mandatory, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in each. Additionally, the candidate must possess a solid understanding of PostgreSQL and hands-on experience using LangChain to interface with LLMs. Proven experience with LLM prompt engineering and fine-tuning is also required. Basic to intermediate experience in Python for AI/ML tasks is preferred. Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines is expected. Experience with at least one cloud provider, with Google Cloud being preferred and AWS being acceptable, is essential. An understanding of microservice architectures and the ability to write and maintain comprehensive tests for backend systems are crucial for this role. The candidate should also be comfortable with asynchronous collaboration and working across different time zones. Nice to have skills include experience with Terraform, familiarity with CircleCI, and PHP knowledge (though not mandatory). Prior experience in integrating third-party AI vendors and a background in media, publishing, or newsroom technology would be advantageous.
