NodeJs Backend Developer

You are a mid-level Node.js Developer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development. Your passion lies in creating efficient and scalable APIs and backend systems, with a strong grasp of server-side technologies and modern development practices. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining backend services using Node.js and either Express or NestJS. You will be designing and implementing RESTful APIs, integrating them with frontend components, managing database schemas and queries (MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL), writing unit and integration tests for ensuring code quality, participating in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and Agile development cycles. Additionally, you will collaborate with DevOps for deploying and monitoring backend services while also maintaining documentation of services and data structures. To excel in this role, you must have a solid background in Node.js development, be proficient in JavaScript (ES6+) with a working knowledge of TypeScript, possess experience with backend frameworks like Express.js or NestJS, be familiar with NoSQL (MongoDB) or SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) databases, have exposure to API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI, be well-versed in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker), understand performance optimization and security best practices, and ideally have some experience with cloud platforms like AWS/GCP.
