NodeJs Backend Developer

You are a passionate Node.js Backend Developer with 12 years of hands-on experience in developing scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices. You possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to write clean, maintainable code, and a keen interest in backend architecture and performance optimization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js (Express.js / Nest.js). - Write efficient, reusable, and testable code following best practices. - Integrate databases (SQL/NoSQL such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) with backend services. - Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless solutions. - Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance. - Ensure secure authentication, authorization, and data handling practices. - Maintain proper documentation of APIs, processes, and systems. - Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies. - Stay updated with latest backend technologies and contribute to continuous improvement. **Required Competencies & Skills:** **Technical Skills:** - Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript. - Experience with backend frameworks: Express.js / Nest.js. - Good understanding of RESTful API design & integration. - Familiarity with databases: MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. - Knowledge of Git/GitHub version control. - Basic understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines (added advantage). - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Mocha, Jest, etc.). - Understanding of security practices (JWT, OAuth, data encryption). **Soft Skills:** - Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities. - Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. - Good communication and documentation skills. - Time management and accountability for assigned tasks. - Willingness to learn new tools and technologies. **Education & Experience:** - Bachelors degree in Computer Science / IT / related field. - 12 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer (Node.js). - Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.
