Network Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches
• Administer endpoint security and antivirus solutions -Trend Micro
• Monitor antivirus dashboards and take action on malware alerts.
• Perform virus definition updates and ensure compliance across all endpoints.
• Conduct regular network vulnerability scans and patching.
• Maintain access controls and perform periodic audits.
• Respond to network and security incidents, prepare incident reports.
• Ensure backup/restore readiness in case of malware or ransomware events.
• Collaborate with SOC or external vendors during cyber incident investigations.
• Document all processes and maintain updated network/security diagrams.
• Attending to and resolving network failures and snags. If required, coordinate with the MPLS service providers.
• Configuration of firewall, intrusion prevention system, NGFW and other security devices.
• Configuration of Dell switches, FortiGate SD WANs etc..
• Hardening security of network devices in line with security policies including applying patches, firmware upgrades.
• Should be able to handle the team and ensure that all network devices remain up and running, and ensure various activities assigned to team are completed on time, including preparation of SOP and documentation

• Education - BE/B.Tech/MCA (CS/IT)
• Certificate - CCNA Certified (Global)
