Network Engineer L2

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer to manage, support, and troubleshoot network operations for our clients. The role involves handling complex incidents, implementing network configurations, coordinating with OEMs and vendors, and ensuring network performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle L2 network incidents, troubleshooting, and escalations.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Support network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, Wireless).
• Perform network performance monitoring, log analysis, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with OEMs (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.) and ISPs for issue resolution.
• Assist in network upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and incident logs.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and internal SLA timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in network support (L2 level).
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, and network security.
• Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP, or similar platforms.
• Familiar with LAN/WAN technologies, IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, ACLs.
• Good understanding of monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification preferred.
