Network Automation Engineer

As a Network Automation Software Engineer at Barclays, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions that enhance our network infrastructure's reliability, security, and efficiency through modern SDLC practices and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies. You will play a crucial role in driving our infrastructure automation initiatives and contributing to creating the future at Barclays. Key Responsibilities: - Strong proficiency in Python and Django/fast-api/Flask framework (Django 5 preferred). - Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly GitLab CI/CD pipelines. - Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Infrastructure-as-Code). - Experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes/OpenShift orchestration. - Understanding of API design principles and RESTful services development. - Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, Redis). - Database expertise in MongoDB, MS-SQL, Postgres. Highly valued skills may include: - Experience with network platforms (Infoblox, Akamai, F5, Cisco ACI, NDFC, NetBrain). - Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies. - Understanding of compliance automation in regulated environments. - Experience with agentic AI solutions using LLMs and vector stores.
