We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Magento Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performing e-commerce platforms.The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of Magento 2, strong PHP development skills, and experience in integrating front-end and back-end systems to deliver seamless online shopping experiences.This role involves working collaboratively with designers, front-end developers, and business teams to create scalable, secure, and feature-rich e-commerce solutions that enhance user engagement and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Magento Development & Customization :
- Design, develop, and maintain Magento 2-based e-commerce websites.
- Customize Magento themes, modules, and extensions to meet business requirements.
- Develop custom modules and integrate third-party extensions, APIs, and payment gateways.
- Build and maintain reusable code libraries to optimize application performance.
- Implement responsive and user-friendly front-end designs aligned with brand standards.
Integration & Backend Development
- Integrate Magento with ERP, CRM, payment systems, logistics platforms, and marketing automation tools.
- Ensure smooth data synchronization between Magento and third-party systems using APIs, webhooks, and REST/SOAP protocols.
- Configure and manage Magento Cloud, server environments, and caching mechanisms (Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch).
- Optimize website performance, scalability, and security.
Maintenance & Support
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to Magento core, themes, and extensions.
- Monitor site performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize load times.
- Ensure compatibility with browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Perform regular security checks, updates, and patch management.
Collaboration & Project Delivery
- Work closely with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality releases on schedule.
- Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and follow best practices for version control (Git).
- Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) for automated testing and delivery.
- Contribute to documentation for technical specifications, release notes, and user guides.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-8 years of professional experience as a Magento Developer, with hands-on experience in Magento 2.
- Strong proficiency in PHP 7+, MySQL, and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
- Experience in custom module development, theme customization, and Magento architecture (MVC, MVVM).
- Proficiency in front-end technologies : HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout.js, React/Vue (preferred).
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services, GraphQL, and API integrations.
- Experience with Composer, Git, Nginx/Apache, and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of Magento Marketplace, store configuration, and multi-store management.
- Familiarity with payment gateways (PayPal, Razorpay, Stripe, etc.), shipping methods, and tax configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Magento Certification (Adobe Certified Expert - Magento Commerce Developer) is a plus.
- Experience with Magento Cloud, Adobe Commerce, or Headless Magento (PWA Studio).
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Redis, and Varnish for caching and performance optimization.
- Understanding of DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
- Experience in integrating analytics tools (Google Analytics, GTM, Segment) and SEO optimization for Magento.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (PHPUnit, Behat).
- Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and project management tools (Jira, Confluence)
