Naval Architect

Role & responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design various types of marine vessels and offshore structures, ensuring structural integrity and hydrodynamic efficiency.
  
• Prepare detailed design drawings, stability calculations, and weight estimations.
  
• Collaborate with production, outfitting, and quality teams to ensure seamless design-to-build transition.
  
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare technical specifications, design plans, and documentation.
  
• Review and approve detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and construction plans.
  
• Evaluate design proposals, identify technical risks, and recommend improvements.
  
• Ensure adherence to international standards, classification society rules (such as ABS, IRS, DNV, BV), and statutory regulations.
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering for integrated project execution.
  
• Participate in design reviews, trials, and performance evaluations of vessels.
  
• Support procurement by providing technical inputs on materials, systems, and vendors.
