MTS4 (Cloud Infrastructure)

The role of an MTS4 Development Engineer at ThoughtSpot is to architect, develop, and deploy a cloud-native control plane and data plane across multiple cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) to support ThoughtSpot's Business Intelligence (BI) application. As a key member of the Cloud Infrastructure team, you will lead cloud infrastructure initiatives and collaborate across teams to scale the platform, enabling seamless operation of customer and internal workloads across public, private, and hybrid clouds. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and deploying cloud-native infrastructure to support ThoughtSpot's multi-cloud environment, leading the development of microservices-based infrastructure, and developing a hybrid cloud strategy using virtual machines and containerized services (Kubernetes, Docker). You will also provide technical leadership to a team of developers, conduct architecture and code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, performance, and security of the infrastructure. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Cloud Formation, developing monitoring and operational systems for high availability and efficiency, driving multi-cloud disaster recovery frameworks, ensuring security and compliance best practices, and building customer-facing operations portals for enhanced visibility and management. As an ideal candidate for this role, you should have deep experience in cloud-native technologies, expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), familiarity with DevSecOps practices, strong programming skills, proficiency in monitoring and observability frameworks, and knowledge of distributed systems and single pane of glass solutions. You should have at least 4+ years of relevant experience in engineering cloud infrastructure, with a proven track record of building and scaling infrastructure for enterprise SaaS products in hybrid or public cloud environments.
