Ms Sql Server Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain

  SQL Server databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

• Write and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries

  to support new and existing business processes.

• Participate in database design and data modeling

  to ensure data integrity, efficiency, and scalability.

• Monitor database performance

  , identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions (indexing, query optimization).

• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies

  for SQL Server databases; regularly test recovery procedures.

• Contribute to ETL process development

  and data integration between various data sources and SQL Server.

• Collaborate with application developers

  to integrate database solutions into business applications.

• Ensure data security and compliance

  , including roles, permissions, and auditing.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues

  , provide production support, and participate in on-call rotation as needed.

• Document database structures, processes, and procedures

• Support work and operational coverage:

  as part of an on-call rotation according to business needs, including rapid response to production incidents or urgent issues.
• Perform

  planned and scheduled maintenance

  (e.g., patching, upgrades, deployments) during night hours or weekends to minimize business disruption.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience:

  2–3 years as an MS SQL Developer in a production environment.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in

  Microsoft SQL Server

  (2012 or later).
• Advanced

  T-SQL development

  : stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, and complex queries.
• Experience with

  ETL development

  using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or similar tools.
• Knowledge of

  database performance tuning

  and optimization techniques.
• Exposure to

  database security management

  and access controls.
• Familiarity with

  data modeling

  , normalization, and database design principles.
• Experience in

  Windows Server

  environments; Linux knowledge is a plus for cross-platform tasks.
• Understanding of

  version control systems

  (e.g., Git) and SDLC best practices.

  cloud-hosted SQL Server
