MS SQL Lead / Sr SQL Developer

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain databases and database applications using Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Role & responsibilities

1. Have knowledge on writing complex stored procedures with multiple insert and multiple update and Database Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain databases and database applications using Microsoft SQL Server.

2. Query Optimization: Optimize database queries for performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and manipulation.

3.Extensive experience and expertise in scripting Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions

4. Master in writing complex queries to retrieve data using Joins, Sub Queries, Aggregate

Functions, String Functions, Union, Union All, Pivot, Un Pivot, Ranking and Row Number

Functions.

5. Experience in providing Logging, Error Handling by using Event Handler, Checkpoints and logging for SSIS Packages.

6. Designed different types of Bulk Insert task, Execute SQL task, FTP task and Send mail tasks

7. Database Administration: Perform database administration tasks, including automated backup, Transaction logs. Roles, Jobs and recovery, security, and performance monitoring.

8. Power BI Development: Create data visualizations and reports using Power BI, including designing and developing dashboards, reports, and datasets.

9. Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.

10. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot database issues, collaborating with teams to resolve problems and ensure system stability and ensure data integrity.

11. Code Reviews: Perform code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and design principles.

12. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of database applications.

Preferred candidate profile

1. MS SQL Server Expertise: 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, development, and administration.

2. T-SQL Proficiency: Proficient in T-SQL, with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.

3.Power BI Expertise: 2+ years of experience with Power BI, including creating data visualizations, reports, and dashboards.

4. Performance Tuning: Knowledge of performance tuning techniques, including indexing, caching, and query optimization.
