Monitoring Platform Integrator

Role Overview: As a Monitoring Platform Integrator, your role will involve designing, building, deploying, and configuring a new monitoring infrastructure to enhance efficiency and productivity. You will collaborate with tech-leads on system migrations to ensure proper monitoring, create alerting rules, and establish escalation paths. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the monitoring system, developing necessary code-base solutions, and automating platform configurations using technologies like service discovery, ansible, and git. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting tech-leads and system owners with dashboarding tools, gathering monitoring requirements, and transitioning monitoring scripts to new platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, deploy, and configure a new monitoring infrastructure for improved efficiency - Collaborate with tech-leads on system migrations to ensure proper monitoring and create alerting rules - Maintain monitoring system and establish redundant escalation paths for failure detection - Develop and maintain code-base solutions and automate platform configurations - Assist in building Grafana and other dashboarding tools - Gather monitoring requirements from NOC teams and system owners during system transitions - Transition custom monitoring scripts to Prometheus or icinga2 platforms - Integrate existing monitoring systems into the new design and facilitate transitions Qualifications Required: - Basic degree or diploma in IT - Certifications in Microsoft, Enterprise Linux, Cloud Foundations, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or related areas - Dev Ops centered training and qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems admin role within the media industry - Proficiency in Docker and/or Kubernetes Platforms, Redhat/Oracle Linux/CentOS System Administration, AWS Cloud toolsets, and other technologies mentioned in the JD - Experience with Python development, JSON, API integration, and NetBox - Knowledge of GO and Alerta.io is advantageous,
