Mobile Automation Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Build and enhance test automation frameworks using

  Java

  ,

  Selenium

  ,

  Cucumber

  , and

  Appium

  .
• Execute automated tests on various mobile devices using

  AWS Device Farm

  .
• Create and maintain test cases using

  Gherkin language

  in the

  Cucumber

  framework.
• Perform

  API testing

  (REST) and automate web services validation.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify automation needs and opportunities.
• Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines using tools like

  GitLab

  and

  Jenkins

  .
• Maintain and optimize test environments, data, and test suites.
• Report defects, track issues in

  JIRA

  , and document testing processes in

  Confluence

  .
• Estimate automation efforts and contribute to test planning during sprint grooming sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 6 - 8 years of experience in Web UI Automation using Selenium, Java, Cucumber framework
• 2 -3 years of experience with Mobile automation using Appium
• Experience in working with AWS Device farm
• Experience with Gherkin language using Cucumber
• Experience with Python coding will be a added advantage
• Strong experience in automating Web Services testing with both REST APIs
• Experience working with GitLab or similar source code repository tool
• Experience with Git version control system
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Experience working with Databases using JDBC, Hibernate or Spring JDBC
• Strong experience in using JIRA, Confluence and Xray
• Experience testing Salesforce applications.
• Nice to have the knowledge or experience with GenAI or any AI / ML related automation
• Experience working with Chat bot automation
• Experience in creating Test Automation framework using Java, Selenium and BDD frameworks
• Experience working with Serenity BDD, TestNG.
• Good understanding of Shift-Left approach to Testing, Screenplay Pattern and In-sprint Automation.
• Experience in working with Postman or Swagger.
• Experience working with CI Tools like Jenkins
• Experience working with API mocking frameworks.
• Knowledge of design patterns and software development best practices.
• Scope and estimate the test automation effort for user stories.

Preferred skills:

• Excellent communication, sense of urgency and ownership of tasks
• Ability to coordinate with important stakeholders to resolve issues
• Effective problem-solving expertise, troubleshooting, debugging and root cause analysis skills
