Mes Support Engineer

Multi-Site MES Run Support:

• Provide technical assistance to end-users, addressing software, hardware, and technical issues related to MES systems.
• Prioritize and resolve critical issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with co-workers to diagnose problems and document standard support procedures.

Stakeholder Management:

• Understand manufacturing processes and engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Map names, roles, and contact information for key stakeholders to facilitate communication.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare report templates for leadership teams and project stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation related to MES support, including archiving and maintenance records.

Operating Model and Transition Guidelines:

• Develop an operating model for MES functionality and application.
• Define transition guidelines from project execution to run support for existing and new site locations.

Technical Infrastructure and Requirements:

• Collect technical infrastructure details and application components as input for support.
• Outline escalation paths with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in Servicedesk.

Support Levels:

• Provide different levels of support:
• L1: Monitoring and initial troubleshooting (including Edge-level monitoring).
• L2: Incident management.
• L3: Problem management, change management, and minor enhancements.

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor KPIs, metrics, and system performance reports.
• Implement improvements based on outcomes.

Architecture and Infrastructure:

• Understand MES architecture and infrastructure artifacts.

Software Licensing and Renewals:

• Manage MES software licenses and subscriptions.

Version Releases and Enhancements:

• Support new version releases by enabling MES team members.
• Provide quick references to site architecture drawings and server information.

Mandatory Requirements/Skills:

• Bachelors or master’s degree (Relevant Experience: 4 to 5 years).
• Hands-on experience with standard MES products or bespoke MES solutions.
• Comprehensive MES implementation experience, covering the entire process from material receipt to dispatch.
• Proficient in Machine Integration within MES processes.
• Working knowledge of PLCs.
• Proficient in MSSQL.
• Good understanding of Kepware
• Knowledge of the Automotive or Manufacturing domain is essential.
• Debug knowledge in .net, Angular frameworks.
