MEP Engineers

We are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer with a strong background in plumbing design to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial building projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of MEP systems and relevant design standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed plumbing system designs including water supply, drainage, stormwater, and gas piping layouts. Prepare construction drawings, schematics, and BOQs using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other design tools. Ensure designs comply with local building codes, IS/NBC standards, and international regulations (where applicable). Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing (e.g., pumps, water tanks, grease traps). Coordinate plumbing layouts with other MEP systems (HVAC, electrical) and architectural plans. Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with approved drawings. Participate in design review meetings, respond to RFIs, and provide technical support during construction. Assist in the selection and specification of plumbing materials and equipment. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in plumbing design within MEP projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office. Familiarity with IS Codes, NBC 2016, and international plumbing codes (e.g., IPC, UPC). Strong understanding of water conservation systems, fire fighting integration, and sustainability considerations. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in MEP Design or Plumbing Design (e.g., from ASPE, KGMECH). Experience working on green buildings, LEED certification projects, or hospitality/hospital infrastructure. Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks).
