MEP Engineer

Role Overview: As an MEP Engineer, you will be an essential part of the team responsible for the planning, design, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various construction projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that the MEP systems meet the required codes, standards, and client specifications, while working collaboratively with project teams and contractors. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and review designs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure they align with project requirements and industry standards. - Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to coordinate MEP systems throughout the construction phases. - Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of installations and ensure compliance with plans and codes. - Supervise subcontractors to ensure project timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards are met. - Perform load calculations, sizing, and equipment selection for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. - Prepare project documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and reports. - Identify and resolve any conflicts or design issues related to MEP systems during construction. - Ensure all systems adhere to relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations. - Evaluate and propose solutions to enhance system efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience as an MEP Engineer, with a focus on plumbing and construction (X+ years preferred). - In-depth knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems in commercial and/or residential buildings. - Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and safety regulations. - Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other BIM software. - Strong understanding of project management principles and construction practices. - Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Experience in managing and coordinating subcontractors is preferred.
