We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Coder (IVR Coder) with 1-4 years of experience to join our healthcare team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services provided.
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulations, and payer requirements.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies.
Maintain knowledge of current coding practices, updates, and regulations.
Utilize coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively to input and retrieve data.

Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience with medical coding software and EHR systems.
Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
