The Medical Coder is responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes to ensure correct billing, compliance, and data integrity. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and payer regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Code or audit medical charts as per process requirements
Update and clear production and pending reports regularly
Work closely with the Team Leader to ensure smooth workflow
Review emails daily for process updates and instructions
Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures
