At LAT Aerospace, we’re building India’s first clean-sheet Short Take-off and Landing (STOL) aircraft - designed to unlock access to hundreds of underutilized airstrips and redefine regional air mobility.

Mechatronics Engineer

What you’ll do

• Design and develop electro-mechanical subsystems including actuators, linkages, servos, motor systems, and control mechanisms.
• Build automated test rigs, endurance testers, and hardware-in-the-loop setups for aircraft components.
• Develop sensors, instrumentation, and control loops for aircraft subsystems.
• Own the integration of motors, servos, drivers, controllers, power electronics, and wiring into flight hardware.
• Lead prototyping, assembly, functional testing, and iterative design improvements.
• Perform system-level testing, calibration, and failure analysis for mechatronic assemblies.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Work closely with avionics, structures, and powertrain teams to integrate your mechanisms into the aircraft.
• Support bench testing, environmental testing, and flight test instrumentation readiness.

What we’re looking for

• 0–5 years of hands-on experience in designing electro-mechanical or mechatronic systems for aerospace, robotics, automotive, or automation.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, electronics, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks / CATIA / Fusion, and experience with rapid prototyping tools.
• Familiarity with embedded controllers, basic firmware, and common communication buses (CAN, UART, PWM).
• Understanding of motors, servos, gear systems, and motion control.

Bonus

• Experience with HIL setups, Aircraft actuation systems, or endurance testing rigs
• Exposure to DO-160 environmental testing, vibration rigs, or qualification workflow
