Job Description: Senior Manager – Mechanical (HSM Division) Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Mechanical to lead maintenance and operational excellence in the Hot Strip Mill (HSM) division. The role requires expertise in spare parts planning, maintenance planning, mechanical equipment maintenance, hydronic systems, and gas media utility management. This position demands strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to drive reliability, cost efficiency, and safety in mechanical operations. Key Responsibilities: Spare Planning – Develop and implement strategies to ensure timely availability of critical spares, minimizing equipment downtime. Maintenance Planning – Create preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans for HSM mechanical equipment. Mechanical Equipment Maintenance – Oversee repairs, servicing, and optimization of rolling mills, conveyors, cranes, hydraulic systems, and other key equipment. Hydronic Maintenance – Manage pumps, valves, pipelines, and cooling towers to ensure efficiency, prevent corrosion, and reduce energy consumption. Gas Media Utility – Supervise the operation and maintenance of compressed air, natural gas, and industrial gas systems, ensuring safety and reliability. Budgeting & Cost Control – Prepare and manage budgets, optimize inventory, and control maintenance costs while ensuring quality and compliance. Safety & Compliance – Ensure adherence to industry safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and environmental compliance. Team Leadership – Lead and mentor engineers, technicians, and maintenance teams to improve technical skills and overall performance. Continuous Improvement – Drive process optimization, implement best practices, and explore innovative maintenance solutions to enhance efficiency. Reporting & Documentation – Maintain records of maintenance schedules, performance metrics, and progress reports for effective decision-making. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). Minimum 12+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance and operations within the steel manufacturing industry, specifically Hot Strip Mill (HSM). Proven expertise in spare planning, maintenance planning, hydronic systems, and gas media utilities. Strong technical knowledge in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance technologies, and equipment optimization. Experience in budgeting, cost control, and vendor management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality standards in steel manufacturing operations.
