Mechanical Engineer

Will be responsible for reviewing and verifying design calculations, preparing technical bid evaluations, coordinating with vendors, and resolving site-related queries. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, engineering codes, and design standards applicable to static equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Process Data Sheets (PDS) and Mechanical Data Sheets (MDS) for static equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, vessels, and tanks.
• Verify design and perform thickness calculations based on PDS and tonnage estimation.
• Prepare and evaluate Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) for equipment procurement.
• Coordinate with vendors for document reviews, drawing approvals, and expediting.
• Monitor project progress and address site queries in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes and standards.
• Support interdepartmental coordination to ensure seamless project execution.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering and materials.
• Proficiency in interpreting PDS and MDS.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.
• Familiarity with engineering codes and design standards (e.g., ASME, API).
• Experience in vendor offer evaluation and post-order document review.
• Effective coordination and communication skills across departments.
